The aim of this workshop is for you to gain clarity and alignment with the reasons why you want to write about a certain topic.

It aims to get to the heart of your passion for your love to write and to move through your projects with a renewed sense of excitement.

Have you ever had the most brilliant of ideas for a book or an essay but when you started writing it, it just didn’t seem to flow no matter how much time or effort you put into it?

Do you want to become a writer, but you have a vague idea on the topics you want to write about, and can’t find the inspiration or the right way to express it?

Have you ever thought about why your writing projects don’t flow?

Have you considered that when the work doesn’t flow there could be a misalignment or disconnection between what you say you want to do and say, and your real reasons behind that expression?

Have you ever thought about your bigger why of writing?

Sometimes writing projects and ideas attract us because they are timely, they are of a certain theme or topic that we like, or we find the topic kind of interesting. Yet, none of these reasons will excite you over a long time, shake you to your core, and have you sitting at your desk shivering to write to inspire and leave others moved and touched.

Why is this?

Because writing, unless you are writing something technical or academic, is an act of passion, a creation of the heart and the soul, driven by your bigger reason to inspire, touch and move others. If you don’t know WHY you are writing, your bigger why that overarches your entire philosophy for a project or writing life, I can guarantee you that your writing will not only leave you uninspired to continue with fervour and passion, but it will also leave everyone else who reads it unmoved and uninterested. It becomes a chore to write it and to read it.

How do I know that? Because I have been there and done that. I know, from my own personal experience, that without my bigger why, my writing life is just an uninspired mental activity, more frustrating than an act of expression.

So, what’s the solution?

Find your bigger WHY for writing.

In this workshop through a series of exercise and reflections we will gently explore and examine your bigger why for writing so that you can leave the workshop inspired, excited and aligned to start or continue your writing projects.
